I’ve noticed something interesting in my travels over the past few weeks.
It seems that with the more ways there are for us to connect with other people, the less we actually feel connected.
We might think that social media communities like LinkedIn, Facebook groups, etc can help us connect more … but it doesn’t seem to because we don’t always truly connect on these platforms, and we miss the human to human.
So this spawns a large number of new local groups, different events, Meet-Ups, pseudo-“masterminds”, etc that are full of people craving community.
But these don’t survive either… people show up, they meet (but don’t connect) and then they don’t come back. Other groups like this are just the same people time after time chasing leads, which don’t allow us to truly connect or build business.
So if we really want community, and as entrepreneurs, we NEED community, why do we have trouble finding what we are looking for?
Are we not letting ourselves be vulnerable?
Are we fearful to ask for help from others?
