I once again had to face the fact of stepping on the scale again after my weekend of indulgence on vacation. I didn’t feel that I did too bad because I tried to stay somewhat smart, but still managed to gain a pound from the previous Monday, now up to 199 pounds. I have started the detox of sorts, cutting back the meals, back on the water, not eating crap and varying my diet. The good part is that I’m still running pretty good, I got out for my 6 miler this morning, and although I was tired when I started, it turned out well. It was cooler out today due to it raining yesterday, but still a good run.
I’ve again worked hard to commit myself to the races, i’m feeling a little down for some reason (not sure why), but I think I can crack out of it. Once I start to see the pounds coming off again (i hope), it will inspire me and make me run better than I was. I did do my mid-week long run on Monday as I stated the other day, it felt good to get it out of the way … I have 6 tomorrow then, and then 4 on Thursday, so that allows me to rest up a little more prior to my long run (19+) on Saturday, I hope this strategy works.
So the struggle with my weight continues, I know I will prevail, it will just take some time I guess.
