I’m still about 7 weeks out from the start of base training for my first triathlon (which hasn’t yet been decided), but I’ve got a gym with a pool, a trainer, cardio, spin classes, etc … i’m excited about it. I also spent some time picking up some cycling gear today at the flea market in my town. I got gloves, shoes, a waterproof cycling jacket, some jerseys and a pair of cycling glasses…. its a good start.

As I start getting ready to swim in that 85 degree lap pool, I’ll be looking for swimming gear this week possibly..

The plan right now is to start base training after the Outer Banks marathon in November, that gives me almost three months to build a base in swimming and cycling and to maintain my running base. I seriously have to get strength training and lose some weight, i’ll explain more another day…
