This time of year always has unique challenges for me.
No, not because of the added stress of the holidays, the additional time we get with extended family or the excessive traveling to visit loved ones.
But because I am a Vegan.
Yes, I eat grass, leaves and bark and drink special green potions.
Well, not really, but I know that likely came to mind when I told you that.
It’s a challenge for me because I get to explain what I eat as a Vegan to dozens of people at holiday parties and family events over and over again throughout the next few weeks.
I am happy to share the lifestyle choices and the successes i’ve had in life and athletics without eating meat, eggs or dairy.
I do get my protein, most people are concerned about that. you shouldn’t worry.
I also get special meals prepared for me because I don’t eat what everyone else does.
But I don’t ask for any of that, I am very self-sufficient, you learn to be when you make a choice to be a little different than everyone else.
The moral of the story?
It’s okay to be a little different than everyone else, as long as you are being you, and you share who you are from the inside out.
What is that one thing that people on LinkedIn don’t know about you?
