So far so good today with resting up for my weekend running … I’m excited because its not supposed to be so hot this weekend, actually its going to be quite cool, which is great. I don’t think I need to be too concerned about dehydration on the 20 miler tomorrow, but I still have to be prepared. I think i’ll be okay.
My back has been feeling ok, it does get tight once in awhile so I’m keeping the ibuprofen on it, and keeping the heat pad going as I can to relax those muscles. Probably the thing i’m concerned about more as I head into a long mile weekend is my left knee. It doesn’t hurt per se, but I can tell its there, like its inflamed a little. I can touch it all around and can’t find anywhere that really hurts, so I’m not sure what the deal, however i’m sure the stress i’ll put on it tomorrow will have me decide one way or another.
I intend to get up early tomorrow and get out on the road since I have to be back to the house by 10am because of work and my son has an appointment. I figure a 6am start is good, that gives me 4 hours to get the run in and back and cleaned up and all. That should do it, which means I have to prepare stuff tonight, but thats not an issue.
I’m hoping that my weight is staying steady since I’ve been eating a little differently this week. I haven’t necessarily been eating bad, but yesterday was my wedding anniversary so I had a big dinner, and it wasn’t even the dinner that was so bad, it was that damn salad bar. I ate too much crap off of it (they had this delightful bread pudding) … I had flounder stuffed with crabmeat and rice .. so thats healthy for the most part. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Well on to continued rest and relaxation, we’ll see how the run goes tomorrow ……
