I was amazed that I made through the week while taking up 26 miles already … i’ve certainly earned my day off tomorrow with that effort. I feel pretty good at this point, no major issues to report, although I do think its time to get new shoes already. I’ve burnt out the ones I have with the constant high miles … and to be honest, I don’t think they are as good as the ones I have been using for years, but they don’t cause me black toes, so I need to stick with them (plus they are a little less expensive).

I’m having issues with work right now, I can’t stand being there … it really sucks, but I find that once again I rely on running to help bring me some joy in my day. I’m just about halfway through this escapade to Steamtown .. i actually expect to start getting the traditional emails from the race director any day now. They help to motivate me because I am reminded about what I am heading for. The toughest days are coming up though, I hit the most miles I’ve ever ran both this week and then again next week, and thats not even the end of it. I’ve still got work to do.

i’ve managed to stick to my diet pretty good, cutting the calories back while making sure I am eating QUALITY food. I am not cutting things back so far that I am not fueling myself, because thats important, but i’m being more conscious of what it is i’m eating. I hope to get on the scale on Monday and have a good result. Guess we’ll see.

Well off to rest some more, we have a 19 miler ahead this week, followed by a 10 miler on Sunday … its supposed to rain this weekend, so it should be interesting.
