As to be expected again, I did my normal 12 mile medium long run today as scheduled, and did fine for the first 7 miles or so until my back started to hurt. I did run through the pain, although I shouldn’t have (note that it didn’t hurt as bad as it did on Thursday, so it is getting better). I’m in a little pain now, its kind of flared up, so i’m doing what I can to flare it back down again before I take a rest/crosstraining day tomorrow. I’m hoping the continual rest and another trip to Dr. Mark will do the trick tomorrow.
I actually did more than i should have, I got 12.34 miles in because I didn’t want to cut it short like I had been doing. I don’t think this helped anything. I guess we’ll see how things go in the next few days to decide where to go next. I finished week 1 of training for the OD marathon though, only 17 to go!
