day before the fairfield half

So I did some reading on the fairfield half, and found that its a pretty big race, much larger than I thought. It should be exciting! We’re talking that this probably bigger than Lehigh Valley (or so they say). We’ll see though.

It was nice to break up my schedule a bit this week by skipping Thursday and catching up on my sleep. I can successfully say that I have caught up on my sleep and feel pretty good. I had a good 5 miler yesterday and another 4.75 miler today, so i think i’m prepped for the trip to Connecticut to run the half. Its nice not doing a formal ‘long’ run this weekend too, its great to break the monotony.

There probably won’t be anymore posts until i return back yesterday from the race. The weather is expected to be nice, starting in the upper 50’s by race start at 8:30, and then probably in the upper 60’s and 70’s by the time I get done around 10:30 or so. It will be warm. I’m taking the fuel belt with me for both water/gatorade and to carry the Stilleto, it hasn’t been mentioned anywhere about headsets being prohibited, so i’ll probably wear it for the race.

Either way, we’re 3 weeks into marathon training for the fall, and still feeling pretty good. Off to Connecticut!
