As the chief visionaries in our businesses, we find ourselves playing the role of lead cheerleader when we need to get our team in line with our new ideas.
Businesses can be dynamic and ever-changing, especially during the first few years.
But sudden changes can be scary for some people on our teams.
Especially when it changes the status quo.
And we put them into the “zone of disruption”.
But every change in course does not need to be so uncomfortable if we have ways to manage the change.
Good people just want an understanding of whats changing and why and to also see a clear picture of what success looks like.
If we communicate and build a clear, two way dialogue with those who are impacted, it can also help team members open up to share their concerns and ideas.
Since we can’t make major changes alone, we need to ensure our team members understand the contribution that each person makes in making the change successful.
And most importantly, engage.
Capture your teams hearts, minds and energy and get them excited about making the change and what success it brings for everyone.
