I work with many business owners who ask me about how to get referrals.
Referrals build consistent growth so you are not constantly chasing leads.
But it requires you to have solid value in your product.
And it must solve the customers “big problem”.
But it counts on having a solid business network.
So how do we find referrals?
They may come from your natural market.
But usually they come from someone in your business network who knows someone who needs your service or product.
And they may have even told you that they know someone.
But have you ever asked them to make that introduction for you?
Many times, we think others will just do this for us.
But if you are just waiting for it to happen, you are likely going to be disappointed.
Be proactive, ask that person for an introduction if you know one is there.
When you meet 1-1 or are in networking meetings with your business network, let them know what you are looking for.
And then ask for introductions.
This is how we build a true referral network.
When we let people know what we want, and are not afraid to ask for it, we start the foundation to generating referrals naturally.
LinkedIn needs more referrals like this.
