I got through my 16 miler today, I had to do it on the treadmill though (the wind chill was about 10 degrees here today). It was an experience that was different because it was my first workout at the YMCA. I joined yesterday, and loved the experience. After the initial jitters of not knowing where to go, etc, you find that nobody bothers anybody, and everybody goes about their own business. I’m an old pro now, and thats one more ‘job change’ thing I have to adjust to.
Anyway, afterward, my toes are all messed up. After the 8 miler on Tuesday this week, I got a pretty big blister on my third toe of my right foot. I popped it, it went away, but then it came back today. In addition, a growth of some-kind (i think its a callus), is up near the nail. Its funky looking. I tore it all apart and cleaned it out and put a bandaid on and all. We’ll see how it heals up.
In other ‘foot’ news, on my left foot, my second toe in seems to be getting ready to lose another nail. I lost this nail back in July (actually Dr. Pete cut it off). I don’t know whats up with it, but it really hurts!
My back seems to be doing okay, i’m still taking it light for a bit just to make sure nothing is killing me. I do get a little soreness here and there, but no pain. I’m certainly hoping that my back problems are over.
