I enjoyed my day off from running so far, I logged a 10 miler yesterday, even though i was supposed to do only 6. I felt good enough to go the distance and it just didn’t feel right doing any other distance but that. Its funny to think thats the lowest mileage run I will have on a weekend in quite a long time….

I’ve decided to ditch my attempt to lift weights during this training cycle. I just don’t think my schedule allows it. i tried last week, Monday was fine, Wednesday was tough and then i skipped it after that. It shows that its just too much. I certainly now know where to draw the line and if I overdo it, i’ll only hate the training all that much more.

Not too much more excitement to mention. I have the Forty Fort race this coming holiday weekend, then the anthracite run the week after, and I might even do the local Lehman run a week after that before gearing it down for the half marathon on June 24th. Thats it until the fourth of July, then i’m in hard-core training for about 8 weeks, and maybe i’ll run a race in the late summer sometime before the marathon in October, guess we’ll see.
