A big part of being authentic and providing value to our clients is by preparing ourselves to be “present” when we are with them.
This means we need to have ways to quiet the internal “noise” that impedes our hearing, listening and understanding so we can focus on them.
Sometimes this noise comes from personal issues or challenges that you are facing at that time or they could even be something as simple as hitting traffic prior to your meeting.
Other times it could be some of our own automatic behaviors, judgements or even a need to show that we have the solution for them that causes us a certain level of anxiety.
My latest video shows you what I do to become present and “clear my mind” before one of our Peer Advisory Boards.
It is so important as a coach to silence this “noise” so my clients can truly get the value from the experience and opportunities in front of them.
How do you clear your mind before meeting with clients?
