So it was a terribly long on Monday in that I decided to change employment once again and get out of the hell-hole that I work in right now. Its nothing personal, but hey, I think I have a better opportunity elsewhere, so I took a change (plus got a decent raise, and more). Regardless, this blog isn’t about that, however I did get my 6 miler in on Monday morning despite the fact it was only 37 degrees out. BRRRRR! I’m not used of the cold, and its hard to think that just 2 weeks ago I was dying of the heat and now i’m bundling up, it just doesn’t make sense!
So with my job change, my difficult week of running due to my schedule is no longer an issue since there is no benefit of going to job training in Boston, if i’m not going to be at the job. Sure, I could’ve gone and taken advantage of the company, but i’m just not like that. So I will be fortunate enough to be home all week, and be able to run my normal running schedule. I intended to run my 12 miler today instead of the normal Wednesday because of being out of town, but can return that to tomorrow, which is actually a good thing because due to all the excitement yesterday, I didn’t sleep at all! I’m dead tired, it really sucks.
The only concern I have changing jobs is the effect on my running schedule, although having gone through it just in the spring, I know how to make it work, and I expect to start work a little later than normal so I have some additional time to get out and done in the morning as the weather starts to get cooler (in prep for Harrisburg). The best part is that I will be working again for Tom Davis, who I worked for at Commonwealth Telephone, ad he is also a runner/triathlete, so I expect that is a good thing for my training and for the future of my athletic career. We’ll see though.
