I just got back home from running the Flying Pig marathon today .. and today was a challenge, a real challenge. I’ll put together a full report tomorrow, but I finished in 4:15, which was 15 minutes faster than I had planned, but based on the weather conditions and my underestimation of the amount of hills, I still consider it a good day.

I summed it up on Twitter earlier today .. lots of rain, lots of hills, many blisters and a lot of chaffing. In the end, I kind of got beat by all of them combined. My feet are covered in blisters and I have chaffing where I’m not supposed to have chaffing, but i’ll recover..

I had a real great time though running this race, I enjoyed the city of Cincinnati and all the people I got the honor of meeting. The Flying Pig folks do put on a first class event and i was glad to be a part of it (even with the weather).
