A rare overnight post as I prepare to head out for Cincinnati and the Flying Pig marathon.. I hope to be there mid-morning today. After I get into the city, a quick stop at the expo, then tour the city a bit, then to the pasta party and to the hotel to rest since we have a 6:30am start tomorrow.

The weather could be an issue for tomorrow, there have been reports of a contingency plan being setup by the race directors in case severe thunderstorms move in. I’m not sure what that means, but they noted it will NOT be canceled, which I think is good. I can run in rain, and even thunderstorms although its not my preferred weather, i’ve trained in just about everything (I remember the snow and the cold).

I hope to catch up with the folks I’ve chatted with online who are also running, I’m hopeful for a great day, maybe pull off a 4 hour marathon time, but one can only hope. Maybe another post tonight if I have internet access at the hotel (sometimes its included), I found last time I was away in march when i was away, it was too hard to try and post via my blackberry, but look for the post race report sometime Monday …
