Just a quick update tonight, I needed to share that just one day after the famous Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, I was welcomed with about 3 inches of snow as I headed out for 12 miles before work this morning (note that I almost got hit by several snow plows since I was out at 5:00am this morning)… either way, it was NOT what I wanted to see. With a predicted six more weeks of winter, this isn’t a good sign…

Worse yet, a big snowfall is scheduled for Friday night into Saturday … up to 10 inches is forecasted, meaning that my long run may end up being Sunday this week. I guess being flexible is part of the game here .. the worst part of running in snow is that it makes you work 10 times harder to get up hills when you have no traction. The positive side being “at least i’m getting in a good workout” .. ok, whatever.

Thats about it for tonight .. except to say that for those that follow my blog will see an upgrade to the site this weekend, I guess its time to finally upgrade to version 3.4 of the b2evolution blog software that runs the site. I’ve been on version 2.3 for almost 2 years now and the new version has all kinds of new features i’d like to use…
