There are some who love the snow, but not me. Its been a rough week all around and now the week gets finished out with a snowstorm …. its only early December, so i really hope this isn’t a taste of whats to come this winter. Mother Nature should know that I have a marathon to train for, and she should be more respectful of that fact (or maybe I just need a reality check, it is December in the northeast)

So its been an absolutely crazy week at work, which is the reason why I haven’t had a chance to post all week .. I pretty much worked late everyday and even had to work today. This means that tomorrow is my semi-long run of 12-14 miles … which is now going to be in the remnants of the snow now. I’m not sure if the snow is worse than the freezing temperatures almost every morning this week (in the mid-20’s) or maybe its worse than the thunderstorms and heavy wind and MILD temperatures we had Thursday morning … this weather is just crazy.

I did have good runs this week though, still managing to get in around 24 miles up until today when i got in about 7.5 miles … if I get my run in tomorrow, I should get in around 40-42 miles this week. The biggest highlight, besides having a stuffed up nose, is that while rocking out to a good stretch of music while I was running, I hadn’t realized that i was actually singing out loud. It would only be a coincidence that I happen to be passing people who were walking when they gave me the strangest look … yeah, i’m such a dork sometimes. Oh well, it was a good run, so I guess thats all that matters.

So I’ve got another week until i start training again, but I think the rest has done me some good. My back and hips don’t seem to be bothering me anymore, or not as bad at least. I can’t seem to catch up on my sleep though .. I still find myself laying awake at 4:30 every morning, but I guess its not all bad because i’ll need to be getting up early pretty soon anyway.

There isn’t much more to write about … I guess its kind of sad this time of year when I have absolutely nothing to write about. Well, I guess I can go whine and complain about the snow … that’ll give me something to do I guess.
