This friday is a full day of recovery for me, I chose not to lift weights in the morning like I usually do on Fridays. My body is feeling pretty good despite the recent struggles i’ve had with the hamstring and with the upper part of my groin muscle. Yesterday (thursday), I had one of the best runs I had in a few weeks (since before my injury), it was a morning run before work, and just everything felt good about it.
I decided to take that energy from a good run and put it to better use resting today. I’m almost two weeks into marathon training, and I hope my body is start to adjust to the schedule and the miles. Its going to suck because I have to run indoors next week since i’ll be away on business, and from what I heard, there are NO outside trails to run on. I think I can find one or two, but we’ll see I guess.
I have my first hard weekend coming up, where I do 5 miles on Saturday, and 10 on Sunday. I haven’t done that for over a month now, so it will be a struggle..
