I got my first run in here in Mississauga, Ontario Canada … I was a little disappointed that there is only one treadmill in the gym that is working, so I made the effort of getting there EARLY this morning to make sure it was mine (5:30am). I’ll have to do the same tomorrow I guess. I did get my 3 miler in today (easy run), and I expect to get my 6 miler in tomorrow … I did take the full day off on Monday (skipped cross-training) because of my hip being sore (read below) however I did lift weights .. my body told me to do it (i have to REMEMBER TO TRAIN SMART!)
I have a long day here at the conference, I have my early run, then the conference which runs until 5pm, then we’re heading to Niagra Falls until late tomorrow … should be an interesting run on Thursday morning (thank god its a short 3 mile run!).
I realized that the groin pain I have been complaining about appears to be my hip that is aching. I just finished doing some ITBS stretches, and it seemed to have relieved it a bit. I think I have the inflammation in my hip instead of in my knee, like most people get, but regardless, stretching it did help me out. It doesn’t bother me to run on it, although I have to think that i’m not doing it any justice by running on it ….
