I’ve completed the first part of week 4 of training, things are going fairly well. I think my body is healing up from the early injuries I had (the hammy, the hip, etc). The new shoes are really making a difference and doing the ITBS stretches makes my knee and hip hurt less. I did kick it up a notch this week by adding hills back into my workouts, for too many weeks I just ran flats as much as I could, and it has taken away from my overall aerobic ability, but we’ll get it back.

I heard the other day that the woman doing the swimming leg of the triathlon hurt her foot, and my VP was looking for a possible backup, but I think things will be okay. I’m getting excited about the triathlon, and I may even consider running the 4th of July race in WB (if they have it), which if I take it easy, will build on my experience for the upcoming event. I really haven’t raced since I injured myself on May 29th, so it might not be a bad idea. We’ll see though.

Either way, my legs are feeling the effects of working harder this week, things are going well. I pray and keep my fingers crossed that I can continue on being injury-free. Tomorrow is a rest day, and I really need it. 🙂
