I had to run my mid-week long run of 7 miles on the treadmill today, since its pouring rain outside at 5:30 this morning when I wanted to run. I have meetings all day today, so I had to move my workout. I’m getting sore and a little worn out, I feel its a good thing that I didn’t make one last ‘hard’ week before an easy week, i really need the rest.
It was unfortunate that our first-leg of the triathlon team won’t be able to do the swim with us, she has cracks in her foot from overtraining or something, but regardless, she can’t swim. We solicited a few people for the position, although I think a member of team at work might do the swim. He hasn’t trained for it, and has done the distance before, however we’re not sure how well he’ll do. I have confidence in him though that he can do it, so onward we trek!
Looks like an easy run tomorrow and a day off on Friday … thank god. Then we’ll do an easy weekend and get ready to boost the mileage once again.
