I sit here right now and its raining again (sat. morning), and I need to get 6 miles in again (at marathon pace). Ack, this is aggravating. I’m going to wait and see if I can get outside at least for the hour I need to do the workout. I don’t mind running in the rain during the summer, but would prefer to not do it. If the choice is between running on the treadmill or in the rain, i’ll choose the rain.
My easy run on Thursday and my day off Friday were good rest times. I am feeling some soreness in my left hamstring (no pain), so i’m not sure what is happening there. I felt it a little on my run on Thursday but it went away, so we’ll just take it easy to ensure we don’t hurt ourselves or anything. After todays run, a 10-miler today and a full hour of cross-training on Monday is coming up, then the trek upwards in miles. Next weekend I have to 16 miles on Saturday and 8 on Sunday (plus thats the day we leave for vacation). I then get to run my daily workouts at the beach for 4 days (awesome!). It will bring back memories of the Ocean Drive marathon back in March.
WOW, I think it stopped raining, time to head out!
