I have been away from the blog (not from running though) due to the announcement of the sale of the company I work for. I’ve been in kind of a rut knowing that I’m probably going to be out of work in 6-9 months being in IT, so i’ve counted on my running to help pull me through. Its actually helped. I went a little above and beyond the mileage I should have, but I still feel good, I just hope it doesn’t hurt me in the long run. I got 22 miles in already this week when I should only have 18, but I don’t intend to go about and beyond on the weekend.

Its hard because being depressed like I am is causing me to eat more, which isn’t good in itself, especially during the taper period. Plus the fact i’m tired because I haven’t been sleeping. I really need to work to pull myself together so that I can complete this marathon that I worked so hard for.

I have a pretty easy weekend in comparison to what i’ve been running, only 13 miles tomorrow morning and 4 on Sunday. I should be able to handle that easily and ease off the miles next week. I think things are on the upswing for me, maybe some big changes coming in life right now, so i’m not sure where running is going to fit it, but I know it will ….
