I made an appointment today with a doctor (chiro) who is going to perform Active Release Technique (A.R.T) on me for my tendonitis. I have heard alot of about how successful it is in treating soft tissue injuries and the hope is that it takes away any long term effects that I might have. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m considering doing the first short jog since the marathon today (probably a mile or 2), I only cross-trained the last two days, and didn’t cause any additional pain or anything. I know i’m pushing my luck, but I really need to run and figure that a short light run won’t hurt me anymore than I already am. (what can I say, i’m a runner, I need to run!) I know the pain isn’t going to go away anytime soon, unless this treatment works, so I figure I need to learn to live with it.
THe pictures from the marathon came back, they are awful. I just look terrible crossing the finish-line (my mouth is open gasping for air). I don’t think i’ll be ordering any.
I also updated the blog, with a new image and all and new title since Steamtown is over. I’ll put some more changes in here and there and we set off into the next segment of the blog.
