The weekend has passed now and I have completed my agenda as expected. I got in 12.5 miles yesterday, and actually ran it pretty fast (even though it was a slight uphill). I did feel a little pain in my back by mile 11, and stopped right at mile 12 and walked for a minute or two. After I walked, it felt good again, and hasn’t bothered me since. I got a 4 mile recovery in today as well, and actually ran it in recovery mode (just under a 10-minute mile). I didn’t have any pain, although it did get a little sore by the end of the run ……….. either way, i’m done running for the weekend, and will continue with a cross-training session tomorrow.

This upcoming week is probably the worst ‘eating’ week of the year. I have parties, lunches and breakfasts to go to almost everyday, so its going to be a challenge to keep my weight down. fortunately, I have about 35 miles scheduled, which should help alleviate it. I got one of my cravings out today by buying a rotisserie chicken and eating the whole thing. I’m like a pregnant woman when I train, I get these weird cravings. Actually, I was watching Rachel Ray yesterday and she was using a rotisserie chicken in a recipe and it got my mouth watering, its weird. Anyway, it will be a struggle this week, but I know I will make it through.

I’ve also got a tough schedule this week, and will probably end up on a treadmill each morning running instead of going outside (even though the weathers nice). As I said, with a Christmas party tomorrow night, and an interview Tuesday morning, a lunch on Wednesday, and breakfast and party on Thursday, it will be rough.

On to the Ocean Drive Marathon training … 14 weeks to go!
