So 4 days after the ocean drive marathon (and running in cold weather and a 20MPH head wind), I feel my former sinus infection has reappeared once again, but a little worse. Seems my right ear is blocked up pretty good (indicating ear infection), and my throat is a little sore (feels like my glands are swollen). I dropped a note to my doctor from here in Ottawa Canada, hoping he can get me something called in for Saturday when I return. If not, i won’t be able to see him until Monday, that’ll suck (yep, monday is my birthday, blah!)
Anyway, I did travel up here to Canada yesterday, the flights and all were pretty good (not as painful as Toronto last year). I managed to get in 4 miles on Tuesday (recovery), and 6 miles yesterday morning before my flight … felt pretty good. I got 4 in this morning on the treadmill at the hotel (although i’m not feeling great). I’m going to rest tomorrow and sleep in, my body needs to rest. I might do some miles on Saturday morning here at the hotel since my flight isn’t until 11am or so, i have nothing to do. It will all depend on how I feel I guess … I scheduled a long run on Sunday, but if I feel like crap, i’m not doing it … i gotta get over this cold. Its important that I rest now so I can make both the half on the 29th (if i can get done with work), and then the marathon on the 6th of May …
