We’re less than 24 hours from the Pocono Marathon, and I finished my final warming-up run of just under 3 miles. I feel the excitement and anticipation building up for the race, as I think the weather is going to be ideal if its anything like it is out there now. My body feels good, and i’ve been struggling getting down carbs and water (blah, water, i’m sick of it). All that is left now is to pack things up and get on my way …. I have my directions to the expo and to the hotel, and my plan is in place to be there on time tomorrow morning for the shuttle.

I wish the family was traveling with me, but at this point, it just won’t happen. Theres nothing better than finishing and having the family there with me, but thats ok, i didn’t expect them to be able to be with me, its a long wait for a marathon to finish. My wife can’t drive currently, so even if they came later on in the race, they still can’t get there. Oh well, I know they’re thinking of me, and i’ll think of them.

I got notice that my half marathon pictures are now available, they actually don’t look too bad this year. It doesn’t look like I was struggling like I was last year and i remembered to keep my mouth closed during the shots … thats the big one. I was able to pull them down and will attempt to print them probably tomorrow to see how they take. They’re not high quality since I didn’t buy them, but its better than paying out the butt for a copy from the photographer.

My stomach is a little upset the last 2 days, not sure what it is and why all of sudden its happening. I haven’t eaten anything new, so i’m hoping it calms down a bit before tomorrow, I plan on being VERY conservative eating today for the race tomorrow.

its possible that I will write later on again as i’m in the hotel by myself. I do have work to do, so I may do that and may not write so that I am not 100% focusing on the race, I have to relax. I just hope I can sleep okay before the race.

Until later ……. and if not tonight, my race wrap-up will be tomorrow. May God bless me and keep me safe for this race. Remember, I’ll be running this “one mile at a time!”
