Gosh I really picked a challenging course to run on today … my 15-miler features a really hilly course (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1029802), I ran this as part of my 20 miler last summer, and it was brutal then, and still is. I think though that it was a great workout, so i really won’t complain that much, but we’ll see how i feel tomorrow.

Tomorrow i’ll get in a 6 mile speed run to wrap out this week, and if you recall, I won’t have another day off until Friday. My 6-day a week workouts start (since I can do them now), so rest is far and few between. I do feel i’ve mastered this training stuff though, I know what to do, and what not to do .. when to push and when not to (or at least I think I do).

I found out that the results of the NYC marathon lottery will be out at noon on Tuesday, so i’m excited to see if we’ll be touring the big apple in November … I hope I got selected.

Its almost time for new shoes, believe it or not, I’m starting to feel like i’m running physically on the road, but one good thing to report is that with the shoe change, i’ve cut back on the number of black toes and toenail problems i’m having …. don’t get me wrong, my toenails are hideous looking, all busted up, but I haven’t had any new pain since the shoe change, so I guess I’ll stick with them ……. I think they are New Balance 1061 .. yep, just confirmed. They’re just like the Asics gel nimbus VIII’s, but the toe box is bigger, so it doesn’t leave you with toenail issues.

Anyway, on to resting for another longer run tomorrow …….
