I’m two days into this weeks training and doing well so far. It was great to get out yesterday morning and get a few miles in, just to stretch things out. Today, I decided to do my speed run down to Luzerne and back via the Back Mountain Trail. I always forget how bad this path kicks my ass. The way down is rather easy, because its downhill (very very gradual), but the way back is just killer. Running 2 miles uphill, then the steep hills getting back up to the house, just beats me up. I recovered okay, it just really sucked, but I guess training is supposed to be that way.
I’m anxious to check my status for the NYC marathon, however I can’t get to the website from work here so i’ll just have to wait until I get home.
Tomorrow morning is my longer mid-week pace run, which I might actually get to run without freezing. It seems the last 2-3 wednesday mornings have been cold, last week it was like 40 and the week before it was like 45. I’m thinking that since we’re in the middle of June now (almost), it won’t be quite so cold in the morning.
Not too much else to report today, i’ll probably update later on with the status of my NYC entry!
