Early in the afternoon yesterday, I noticed that my calf muscles are totally wiped … my right calf, just below my knee, was real sore (not painful sore as in injury), but real sore. I rubbed it a bit and have been taking it easy, I really think I overdid something this weekend …
I was able to get out and do a quick 2 miler this morning after sleeping in a bit (if you call 5am sleeping in), and it didn’t seem to bother me much, but my legs are tired, its really time for a stepback week, just one week to go.
Thankfully I don’t have much on the agenda tonight, so I should be able to rest a bit, which is a good thing. I just have 6 more days until a stepback week, I have to stay positive and confident that I can get through this. Its been a tough couple days and the motivational Steamtown email came through last night, they are humorous and remind me why I love this marathon like I did.
Oh well, on to rest, just wanted to give an update of my current status …
