I’ve written here and here about my constant addiction to cereal, and it continues as I head out on this training cycle.

I eat cereal for breakfast, for lunch and for a snack at nighttime along with some ice cream .. right now the addiction is between honey bunches of oats (with peach or strawberries and frosted mini wheats ..

Apparently, i’m not the only one with this issue… I figure that its good for you, full of carb’s and very filling. I eat it with skim milk and sometimes mix in fresh fruit (peaches, blueberries or strawberries, sometimes even bananas). I highly suggest it if you’re training because its good energy.

Anyway, enough about cereal, I just love it! So i didn’t have any stomach issues this morning on my 8 miler like I did yesterday, just kind of plain and boring. I get to do speed work tomorrow morning for the first time, so i’m sure i’ll be beat up pretty good since I’ve done NO speedwork for quite a long time..

So I’ve read in this thread on Runners World forums that the lottery results for the New York City marathon is coming soon, at least i’ll know if i’m doing it or not and can make alternate plans. I’m not counting on it because I got excited two years ago and got let down … I know there are other late fall marathons I can do, so i’m not worried about…

Nothing else too exciting happening, just going through the training … feeling confident about it though, 8 miles each morning is starting to feel like nothing….
