I gave a presentation in front of a business group the other day.
Being able to present your business in front of people is a skill we need as business owners.
But presenting in person is different than just writing about it on social media, or recording a video.
There is no “backspace” key, nor can you edit out mistakes
So every word counts.
Thankfully, it comes natural for me to be in front of people.
But what if you have to present your business in front of people & you are not a strong speaker?
Here are some tips.
Start by introducing yourself, your family & your hobbies. This helps the audience understand that you are a person just like them & eases you up.
Develop bullet points that cover the “big problem” that you solve & how you fix it.
Be sure to practice & know what you want to say.
Be yourself, your authenticity will show and build trust with the audience.
Always end with a call-to-action, just like you would online.
My most recent presentation landed me a whole list of new prospects that connected with my message.
We sometimes underestimate the impact a good presentation can have on our business.
So the goal should not be to “wing it”.
What tip would you add when presenting your product to people?
